The default wake word for an Amazon Echo device is, as you probably know, “Alexa.”

Optionally, you can change this wake word to: “Amazon”, “Echo”, or “Computer.”

What you don’t know is that Amazon seriously considered the following wake words, but rejected them after early beta testing feedback:

• Big Brother
• Jeff Bezos
• Satan
• Ugh
• HAL
• Bueller?

I personally hope they reconsider some of those.

“Ugh, play baby shark.”

“Satan, set a fluffy sparkle cupcake timer for 18 minutes.”

“Big Brother, turn off my living room lights.”
