Prince Caspian: Go see it.

So a few weeks ago I announced to a bunch of my friends that we should all go see Prince Caspian on opening night. So we did. We ended up with a group of about 19 people. We went to a 12:15 AM showing. I chose the 12:15 showing because it was a DLP (digital projection) screen and I like digital better than film projection. Not only was the picture quality better, but the 12:15 showing had another benefit over the other early showings. What was it? The people waiting for the other early showings had to wait in lines. We just went right in and waited in the theater! It was really fun just hanging out, sneaking in food, dancing in the aisles, and the movie was good too.

So go see it! The movie was awesome. Yes, they added a lot to the movie that wasn’t in the book, but I still liked it. Just don’t go see it expecting it to be exactly like the book and you’ll enjoy it.

  1. Beth I’m looking forward to seeing this. I didn’t know about the digital being better than film. I’ll have to check that out. Speaking of sneaking in food…one time my brother and I snuck a cheesecake in to the movies!
  2. Sammi I think this show looks good, but I am holding out for Indiana Jones. I only get so many nights out now that I have a baby. :)

Beth, a cheesecake?! hahahaha! So awesome. I wanna try that.

Sammi, I can’t wait for Indiana Jones! I want to watch all the old ones again though. I don’t remember a thing from them. Maybe that’s because I never saw them all. I don’t actually remember.

i wish i could’ve relearned more of the dean collin’s shim sham in the aisles! haha, that was pure awesome though.

i was actually more stoked for this than the new indy film. that’s prob’ly a result of my disappointment in the new sw films. i vote we have a screening of the last crusade (at least) soon. i’ve seen raiders and temple of doom a bunch over the last few years, but haven’t seen crusade since the 90s!!! sean connery is indy’s dad! that’s so cool. plus that was back when harrison and sean were cool.

  5. patrick the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story better than i would have expected… i had heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not so much the case
  6. Ryan I was a bit worried by the previews that they would deviate too much, but they did a good job. I’m happy with it!
