Barack Obama has only 143 days of real experience?

Yes, this is an email forward. I don’t even know if the 143 days is correct. I don’t care to find out. I just liked this. That’s all.
You couldn’t get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.
You couldn’t get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience. BUT….From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, to fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days? We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that’s all it is – a start.
AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public seems to feel comfortable with this and campaigning for him.
We wouldn’t accept this in our own line of work, yet some are OK with this for the President of the United States of America?
Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol.
Dear America, please don’t vote for Obama. Please.

I’m voting for Barack, with confidence. I don’t want 4 more years like the last 8, more wars we can’t afford, all because a reckless “maverick” sold his soul to the GOP. **** the GOP and their lies–not accepting responsibility for the tragic mistakes they have made and continuing to take the US down a dangerous road of financial woes and wars.

I certainly don’t want 4 more years like the last 8! I do not support Bush or McCain. I don’t want the wars any more than you do. I just don’t want Obama, either. :)

Well what’s so wrong about him? What are you so afraid that he’ll do, other than help? I mean, really, break down his ideas–they are brilliant. They are going back to the basics that founded this country: supporting workers/middle class/unions/etc in jobs that make America prosper. He’s diplomatic and not war-happy. He’s not afraid to stand up to lobbyists/big business/big oil. He wants citizens involved in the process of Government, like it was intended to be.
What are you so scared of, really? You should be much much much more frightened of what a McCain/Palin ticket will bring. They want to reverse Roe vs Wade (a woman’s right to choose). They want to bring creationism in to schools. Their talk about Russia and Iran should be a huge warning flag too. By not voting for Obama, you’re giving McCain/Palin a better chance.

I don’t find this a very good medium for a really good political discussion, but basically: I don’t like either of them and will not vote for either of them. I don’t want government control of health care. I don’t want more wars. I want out of Iraq.
A post I wrote a week ago describes why I will not vote for one just so the other has less of a chance.

Well not voting at all isn’t going to help ya there. Plus, the government won’t control health care under Barack’s plan. His plan will only lower your premiums if you have health care. Hillary’s plan would have been more of a government-run health care plan.

2005 – 136 days

I figured it’d get proven wrong since I posted it without any research whatsoever. Thank you for correcting me.

I wonder if people realize that by voting Ron Paul they are giving more power to Barack Obama? It only takes away from the votes that would otherwise (probably) go to McCain/Palin…

John McCain is a man of honor – he has been serving our country since 1967!!!! He has dedicated his LIFE to our country –
What is it with everyone chanting – I don’t care what Barack stands for or who he is – I just don’t want more of the same?? It is such narrow minded – small opening through the window way of looking at things!! Barack Obama is going to bring change for SURE – it is just a fact that no one knows WHAT KIND OF CHANGE – who could tell with such LITTLE experience – unless everyone is willing to look at his record and what little political experience he has with an open mind and not just believing everything the liberal media is feeding you – no one will know -and everyone will still vote for him – only because he is not republican like George Bush -again what narrow minded thinking! The media would have you believe that everything is the “republicans fault” and they are careful not to remind anyone that we have had a Democrat CONTROLLED Congress for most of Bush’s presidency!!!!!!!!! Think about that for a minute!
Obama Biden is only 4 letters away from
Osama bin laden – and they are snla – I figure it stands for So Noone is Left Alive! God Help Us!!

Even if the worst things possible are true about his inexperience, it’s better than anything the Republicans have given us over the last Eight years. It’s time to end the creeping theocracy that the Republican Party has been trying to impose on this country.
